Sugarcane Molasses

Molasses is a by-product of sugar production from sugar cane or sugar beets. It is a thick, dark brown syrup with a sweet taste and high nutritional content. It is a rich source of energy for livestock and poultry, especially in livestock farms.

 

After harvesting, the leaves are removed. Sugarcane stalks are crushed or chopped and then pressed to extract the juice. Boil water to thicken, until sugar crystals form. The sugar crystals were separated and the molasses continued to be concentrated. After about 3 times of concentration, it is almost impossible to create more sugar crystals by conventional means, the remaining liquid is molasses or molasses.

About 75% of the world’s total molasses is derived from sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum). In general, molasses production is about 1/3 of sugar production, about 100 tons of sugarcane pressed, 3-4 tons of molasses are produced.
