Vietnam’s exports and imports of animal feed and materials in first two months of 2020

In the first 2 months of 2020, Vietnam’s exports of animal feed and raw materials reached 90.01 million USD, up by 6.6 per cent over the same period of 2019.
According to the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of animal feed and raw materials in February of 2020 reached 53.07 million USD, a sharp increase of 44.5 per cent compared to January of 2020 and an increase of 53.2 per cent compared to February of 2019; Generally, in the first 2 months of 2020, the country’s export turnover of this commodity group reached 90.01 million USD, up by 6.6 per cent over the same period of 2019.
The exports of animal feed and materials to the US also increased strongly by 173.1 per cent over the same period of 2019, reaching 10.77 million USD, accounting for 12 per cent of the total turnover; In particular, in February of 2020, it increased by 14.6 per cent compared to January of 2020 and by 499.7 per cent compared to February of 2019, reaching 5.76 million USD.

In the first two months of this year the country’s exports to Japan decreased by 57.6 per cent, reaching 3.91 million USD; to Bangladesh decreased by 48.5 per cent, reaching 0.94 million USD; and to Thailand decreased by 43.6 per cent, reaching 2.33 million USD.
